If this isn't Ep. 3, I think I might have a trollneurysm.

Maybe it's a new engine to replace their 6 year old one... Source is really showing it's age now-a-days....

Good god I hope so...

In a succinct e-mail, Gabe Newell has confirmed that the "surprise" is not Half-Life 2: Episode 3. So, there it is, Internet. Wrong again. You're just going to have to go back to your second love of pornography to mend your bruised ego.
THIS IS A GOOD THING. That means the surprise will be good, as opposed to exactly what all of us are expecting. If we want to be insanely speculative, Valve did hire the people who made DoTA a while ago...... VALVEHON! WITH HATS!

Or was is Blizzard who hired them.... someone confirm this for me, pretty sure it's valve...

Valve hired icefrog. They also said they are NOT making a dota clone.

Good. I would be seriously very angry if their surprise was a dotaclone... I'd rather it be hats than that...

EA did that for Valve already in 07-08...

It was a complete failure :P

So the surprise is related to Portal 2.

Yep so I was correct. Probably why it also got delayed.

So G4 had Doug Lombardi on during their e3 coverage and he wouldn't even say it was only delayed until first half 2011.  I would bet they hold it til holiday '11.

edit: kinda mis-heard link here
