Most is the important word there......
For every good indy game there's 30 shitty platformers without a hint of originality, and then another 20 artsy games that have no gameplay appeal. I played enough fucking platformers in elementary school to last me a lifetime, and 30 seconds of non-game is enough for me thank you very much.
Mount & Blade, GMod, NS, and the EV series are all examples of amazing indy games. I can't even begin to count how much money I've wasted on shitty indy games. Unless it looks really fucking good or has a demo I can try out first I wont even pay a penny. They ruin the market for the talented developers, these games being an example. If the market wasn't flooded with shit I would give them a try because they have a lot of hype.
