Source Forts
« on: March 26, 2009, 08:55:10 am »
So nobody has heard of DF, so I'm starting another thread... Source Forts!
So, for those of you who have not heard of Source Forts, you're gay. It's basically a CTF game but you can build walls (which are destructible) so people build elaborate awesome forts and it's amazing. I got really into this game for a while, building awesome things such as drop boxes for the flag so that our flag cannot actually be reached on foot from the enemy team... Wicked awesome game, seriously...

I actually used to do scrims in source forts... yes...

Its pretty neat, but the people that made it are too self rightous to implement a piece rotating system like garry's mod has so you end up having to mash them against walls to get them to stand up straight. Thats probably why I don't play it anymore, too damn hard to use the games main feature.

I COMPLETELY agree... I got pretty good at doing the obnoxious jump and pick up moves to get them vertical... It's faster to do the jump method than pushing it against a wall, though walls make them more perfect...

It's an amazingly fun game to play, but sadly it does get old after not too long...

This sounds like an oxymoron.

I may have to check this out, however I do not have HL2:DM, but I don't see how that should matter, since it runs on the Source engine.  ???

How is that an Oxymoron? It's really fun for X amount of time, then it stops being fun and you move on... like, 90% of good games have that attribute...

And indeed, HL2:DM shouldn't matter at all, I think whoever said that before was just on crack.
