OMGPOP has a growing selection of games to play plus a social networking side to it all.
As some of us already know, it's a pretty neat site. ^^
Here's a rundown of all of its current games:
Balloono: Pretty much a Bomberman clone. The first half of the game is spent destroying breakable blocks to obtain power-ups (speed, number of balloons, and length of explosion). Once all of the breakable blocks are cleared, it's all on the players to try to trap others and set balloons in spots that will explode in his/her opponents' paths. (2-6 players)
Draw My Thing: Online Pictionary! Fun shit. Each drawer is given one word and 45 seconds to have that word guessed correctly. (2-7 players)
Missile Command: A more badass version of "Parachute" from the iPod. You are one of the components that make up the base along the bottom of the screen; which means don't let any of the enemies' rockets hit that whole area- but it's still a game based on getting the most amount of hits. From time to time, "Green Energy" will spawn from destroyed enemy-fire; use these to upgrade your reload rate, supply, speed, and radius. (2-7 players)
Booya! (voice-chat enabled, lol): Based on the card game, Speed. The goal is to get rid of all the cards in your hand. Do this by setting down a card of the same color or number of the top card in the middle stack. There are also cards like, random (change the current color), draw, skip, and reverse (reverse the rotation along the players). (2-7 players)
Four Play (also with voice-chat enabled, wtf): Just your classic Connect-Four. (2 players)
Dinglepop: Puzzle Bobble/Bust a Move replica. Launch your "dingles" from the bottom center of the screen into a group of dingles with the same color. Each time you shoot a dingle without popping any, a wall pushes them all one line forward towards a danger-zone. When any dingles are popped you go back one line. You can play with/without items that either help you or disrupt any one opponent of your choice. (2-7 players)
Letterblox: Everyone gets the same set of six letters and a little bit over one minute to type up as many words as possible with the given letters. Each set of letters always makes at least one six-lettered word. (2-7 players)
Checkers: ...yeah. Oh, and it has voice-chat enabled, too. xD ... (2 players)
Hover Kart Battle: Pretty much Mario Kart's battle mode. Attack your opponent with items three times to kick him/her out of the game. (2-7 players)
Hover Kart Racing: Again, just think of Mario Kart. It's got items, too. (2-7 players)
Hit Machine: Rhythm game. You play with the A, S, D and J, K, L keys. (1-7 player(s))
Ballracer: A side-scrolling racing game where you control a little animal inside a ball. (2-7 players)
Putt Putt Penguin: Picture the ice cave from Pokemon G/S/C combined with golf. Slingshot your little penguin across an obstacle-filled sheet of ice into a hole with the least amount of movements. What I like about this one is that you can stop your penguin in its tracks by clicking on it. (2-7 players)
Gemmers: A Bejeweled clone. Click on three gems of the same color to destroy it; three or more gems of the same color will add gems to your opponents' screens. As time goes by, the gems will move up quicker. Can be played with/without items that either help you or disrupt any one opponent of your choice. (2-7 players)
Jigsawce: Work with others to complete a jigsaw puzzle but still compete to connect the most pieces for points. This one is a lot more fun than I thought it would be if you're talking to the people you're playing with. (2-7 players)
Blockes: Tetris! Except the blocks only come down in clumps of two side-by-side blocks. Blockles used to have blocks of varying shapes but the Tetris company tried to sue OMGPOP. Can be played with/without items. (2-7 players)
Lastly, if any of you are into customization like I am, OMGPOP has a coin system; you can buy items to use in some of the games and your profile. xD
If anyone else happens to mess around with OMGPOP and decides to create an account,
please sign-up with this link. :3
It brings you to OMGPOP's home page but it automatically links to my profile when you click on the "sign-up" button in the upper-right hand corner of the screen. This adds you to my list of recruited people. I'd really appreciate this :]
