Finished torrenting today. Razor1911 ftw.

I played through the first 10 minutes before turning back to homework. But ohmaigawd. Theres no doubt in my mind that it's going to be Game of the Year. Bioware is making everyone else look like dogshit at this point.

EDIT: Engineers are better. >:D

They always have been since Kotor came out.

EDIT: Engineers are better. >:D

Engineers are meh.  I haven't ever seen combat drones effect battles much and AI hacking is only effective against about 30% of all enemies you face.  They also lack ammo powers and the better weapons.

But, I could be wrong about the combat drones, so tell me how that works out for you.

imo, INFILTRATORS FTW!!!

This is very true.

I liked them in ME1 simply because a lot of what you faced were geth, and hacking Geth Juggernauts never got old. Being able to use only pistols was never as much of a downfall as I thought it would be, as they seemed as viable as any of the other weapon types.

But yeah, I'm thinking about trying something else. I was thinking of going Adept, but alot of the partners you get seem to fill that role already.

Unfortunately there aren't enough synthetics and mechs to make hacking that effective overall.  However, Incinerate is a BOSS of a tech power...not sure if Engineers have it or not.   It seems biotics tend to dominate when compared to the tech classes.  I consider Infilatrator an exception since it has the best tech power imo (Incinerate), a sniper rifle, and 2 extremely useful ammo powers.  Pistols were extremely effective in ME1, but in ME2 they are a little underwelming.  Heavy pistols are pretty damn good, but they run out of ammo too quick...which is fucking annoying.

I kinda hate her too. :3

WHEN DO I GET TO SEE WREX?! I just got Grunt, he's still in his pod thing. From the ending of that mission, it looks like Shepard's going to be able to decide what to do with the Krogans, which is interesting.

Also, does releasing/killing the rachni queen in the first game show up at all in this one?

Not sure, the game didn't find the save files from my first game, so I had to start out with the default decisions...

So Wrex was dead and I didn't see anything about the rachni.

OH MY GOD!
Wrex is even more Wrex in this game than he was in the last game. Grunt is also pretty Wrex but not quite as Wrex as Wrex.
You totally get a message from the Rachni queen if you released her in the last game (it totally happens in an awesome way that I don't want to spoil).

Planet Scanning sucks.
Even after getting the upgrade and only scanning Rich planets, it still sucks.

Yeah but not as much on the pc.

So my first play through everyone lived.  A little disappointed since it was supposed to be a suicide mission. Played through a second time limiting myself to about 14 hours before the thing that happens where time matters. I ended up losing Jack, Legion, Samara and Miranda.

How'd they end up dying? I've heard that what will end up killing most of your charecters is not having enough of the ship upgrades.

I need to do a second playthrough with my save file from ME1.  Never got the save to transfer.

I kinda want everyone to live, considering I'm a OCD completionist.

Unfortunately, I got Legion killed the first time, so that just won't do.

Yep, ship upgrades and not having loyalty will get people killed, along with choosing certain people for fire team and whatnot.

Certain dialog choices play in effect as well.

Jack was the only one that died on the ship despite the fact that I had all the upgrades.

Hmm. Noone died for me while still on the ship. Choices for squad leaders are pretty easy to figure out just from character descriptions.

I had Legion go through the vents with no problem, and Jacob as the other squad leader throughout simply because I never use him. (Although, I'm pretty sure either Garrus or Miranda work just as well.) As for escorting the prisoners, anyone who's loyal works. I chose Mordin. Jack can get it done without being loyal, but she sacrifices herself in the process.
As for having someone stay back and defend before the final boss, you don't really have to leave anyone. It seemed like a pointless decision, as whoever you dont take to the last fight with you goes back to defend anyways.

You definately should. The game seemed like it imported a lot more variables than it suggested, and seeing Wrex again is kinda awesome. Also, I wouldn't really want to go into the third game without him having survived.

Unfortunately, I got Legion killed the first time, so that just won't do.
How'd you manage that?

This...with Garrus as squad leader, apperently the squad leader effects this.

Both were loyal too.

I could have swore the only way to kill the person in the vents was to not get to the next panel fast enough.

Guess not, cause Legion got shot it the head when him and Sheppard were pushing that door closed.

Are you sure Legion was loyal? I had him go through the vents for me in both playthroughs. He survived the one where he was loyal.
