I'm actually most scared of World war 3 sometime in my lifetime. I have a terrible gut feeling that it will be a nuclear war, and that after it, communism will return, there will be world peace for a while, then revolutions, and finally, we will return to a society much like today's.
I base my opinions on past history, but mainly a cycle pointed out by some dude, where a country begins with a monarchy, revolution into capitalism/communism. Communism works well for a few decades, but cannot sustain itself. Eventually, the country undergoes an economic chrisis, and the communist government fails to give rise to a capitalist one. The capitalist government lasts longer than the communist one, but then becomes *too* capitalist, much like the U.S today. Since throughout American history the U.S was strongly opposed to communism, it has become the opposite, and is now lagging behind other countries in terms of social services such as health care, and basic welfare plans. After the big world war 3, communist china, or a more social E.U will emerge as the world superpower, but only for a few decades if communist, and perhaps longer if it is a compromise.
What sucks the most is that I still don't have my Canadian passport, so I'm not in the clear zone yet.
So yeah...Enjoy the U.S's power while you can; it wont be like that for long...
