Playing Sounds -- *No longer working*
« on: March 09, 2009, 04:10:12 pm »
To play sounds on the server use the following syntax:
!p <directory>/<subdirectory (if applicable)>/<sound>

For example, in the barnyard directory, there is the herd sounds. To play this type:
!p barnyard/herd

To change the volume of sounds, use the following syntax:
!vol (1-10)
Example: !vol 8

To stop whatever is being played, use:
!stop

To bring up a list of what you can play, use:
!plist

You may now upload your own sounds via the link on the main forums.

You may now play random sounds on the server
!p will play a random sound in the root directory
!p techno will play a random sound in the techno directory

You get the idea of what is going on with the random command.

Login & Upload page now look like they were not made in the 90s.

Stats can now be viewed on the website.

Things to come:
We know the !plist menu is very plain and basic as well as the uploading and login page. We just wanted to get the functionality down first and will be adding user friendlyness/style to it soon.

INCOMING FEATURES, MAGGOTS.

What would be awesome is if we had a way to access the sound files and play 'em when we're not in-game.  Like, as a web site script or something.  Maybe I can keep dreaming...

We intentionally don't do this for specific reasons.
